The Learning Centers are diploma completion programs, designed to help the returning student complete his or her high school diploma. The Centers serve students from all over Wichita and the surrounding communities.
Within flexible hours, students complete course work using both computer programs and traditional materials, working individually and sometimes in groups, under the supervision of certified teachers and support staff. The student’s commitment and desire to receive a high school diploma, combined with a caring, positive school climate, determine the student’s degree of success. The Centers are designed to serve individuals who are self-disciplined, motivated and who are committed to furthering their education in a self-paced environment.
Many of Wichita Public Schools high schools offer similar programs within the high schools for students who have failed a course but are still of an age that they belong in high school. To learn more about the various programs and if one is right for you, please call your neighborhood high school.
